BRAINERD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, DISTRICT 27

The Biggest Secret on the South Side of Chicago. We are located at 1234 W. 95th Street. On the corner of 95th and Elizabeth Streets.

The Brainerd Community Development Corporation was established in 1990 in the Brainerd Community on the South Side of Chicago. This community is bordered by 87th Street to the north, 95th Street to the south, Vincennes Avenue to the east and Ashland Avenue to the west.

The goal of the BCDC is to bridge the economical, technical, and social gap in this part of the city. There is a large variety of classes offered to seniors, teens, young children, and everyone in-between who has the time, energy, and desire to learn something new.

Some of the classes that are offered include: Proposal Writing, Computer Literacy, Adult Literacy, GED Preparation, etc. See our schedule of classes for complete listings. All of the classes offered at the BCDC are FREE!. You must call to register for all classes.

There are other activities at the BCDC besides educational classes. There are special events held throughout the year that are of special interest to all.

July is here! Half of the year is officially in the past, a memory, gone, never to return.
As was shown with the recent passing of Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Billy Mays and others, there are no guarantees in life of, "I'll do it tomorrow." We have today and only today. Don't let another "today" get away waiting for "tomorrow." It is never too late to start and it's never too costly to start.
Brainerd Community Development Corp has programs that rival others in the surrounding community. They have dedicated instructors and goals that mirror yours, Success!!!
All of the classes are the right price, FREE!!! So don't let anything or anyone stand in your way. If you are in need of training or refresher courses but don't have the funds to go to a traditional college right now, or if you need help in studying for testing to enter college, stop in and see what Brainerd has to offer. You won't be disappointed.
If you need help with Math, English, Social Studies, preparing for your GED or just like drums and piano, there's something for you here.
Have you been on your job for a number of years and now you're finding out that EVERYTHING is going computerized? Have you been fighting the computer age? There's something for you here. Learn the basics of computing, to learning how to repair one.
Brainerd Community Development Corp is a good place to start. With classes ranging from Adult reading to advanced computer classes, there is something for you there.
If you need to prepare to start classes, you can. Don't let the fear of failing stop you, because you can't succeed if you don't try.
